Amit Sadh Reflects On Bollywood Favouritism Following Parineeti Chopra's Remarks

Parineeti Chopra recently stirred up discussions by highlighting favouritism in Bollywood. She mentioned that despite her connections, she often felt excluded from projects because she wasn't part of elite circles or big parties where roles are discussed. This statement came during the promotions of her film Chamkila.

In an interview with FilmiBeat, Amit Sadh was asked about his views on nepotism and favouritism in Bollywood. He responded by sharing his journey, stating, "I came to Mumbai with just 300 rupees, and today I have been part of films, TV shows, and OTT projects. Do you think anything bad has happened to me? These are all rubbish. I am not talking about anybody. I respect Parineeti and everyone's view. But I really don't understand all this."

Sadh on Bollywood Favouritism

Amit further elaborated on his stance by saying that he has received support from various people in the industry. He said, "I would not be here without the people who have supported me. There have been directors who have written roles for me, and people who have said, 'You have a compulsory part in my project.' All this-this health and that health-it has all happened now."

Despite being part of many notable projects over the years, Amit Sadh expressed that he hasn't found the level of acceptance he hoped for in Bollywood. He shared his thoughts on how to handle such situations: "Even if tomorrow I become the biggest superstar, I would still have some complaints, and then I would pinch myself and say, 'Bhai, don't complain and just focus on positives. And of course, on the days when you are down, get yourself up, and remember there is always tomorrow.'"

Parineeti Chopra's comments about favouritism resonated with many outsiders who feel sidelined in Bollywood. She acknowledged that while nepotism might exist, favouritism is more prevalent in the industry. Her cousin Priyanka Chopra is one of Bollywood's biggest female superstars.

Amit Sadh also touched upon how actors should deal with periods when work isn't coming their way. He advised focusing on self-improvement rather than complaining: "If you're at home and work is not coming your way, don't sit idle. Work on your skills, retrospect where you are lacking, and focus on what you should do."

Both actors' experiences highlight different aspects of the industry's dynamics but share a common theme: perseverance and gratitude towards those who support them.

The conversation around nepotism and favouritism continues to be a significant topic in Bollywood. While opinions differ among actors like Parineeti Chopra and Amit Sadh, their insights provide a deeper understanding of the industry's complexities.
