All We Imagine As Light OTT Release: Key Details On Payal Kapadia's Oscar-Nominated Film

"All We Imagine as Light" Oscar Selection and Release Updates: The 2024 drama "All We Imagine as Light," penned and helmed by Payal Kapadia, is gaining international attention. Featuring actors Kani Kusruti, Divya Prabha, Chhaya Kadam, and Hridhu Haroon, this film is a collaborative effort involving France, India, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, and Italy.

The movie premiered globally at the 77th Cannes Film Festival on May 23, 2024. It marked a significant milestone as the first Indian film to compete in the main competition since 1994. The film was honoured with the Grand Prix award.

Kani Kusruti stars as Prabha alongside Divya Prabha as Anu in leading roles. Chhaya Kadam portrays Parvaty, while Hridhu Haroon plays Shiaz. Azees Nedumangad appears as Dr. Manoj with Tintumol Joseph as Nurse Shanet. Payal Kapadia directs and writes the film, with Ranabir Das handling cinematography and Clement Pinteaux editing. Following its Cannes success, France chose "All We Imagine as Light" for its 2025 Oscars entry. Janus Films and Sideshow acquired North American distribution rights on May 20, 2024. Condor Distribution will release it in France on October 2, 2024. Spirit Media, led by Indian actor Rana Daggubati, secured Indian distribution rights on September 9, 2024.

The narrative centres on Prabha and Anu, two Malayali nurses residing in Mumbai who face personal relationship challenges. They embark on a road trip to a coastal town where a mystical forest becomes the setting for their dreams to unfold.
