Ajay Devgn Wishes Nephew Aaman And Rasha Thadani Success Beyond His Own In Bollywood

Ajay Devgn expressed his hopes for newcomers Aaman Devgan and Rasha Thadani, who are debuting in the film "Azaad." He wishes they surpass him and Raveena Tandon in stardom. Aaman is Devgn's nephew, while Rasha is the daughter of Anil Thadani and Tandon. Devgn plays a significant role in this pre-Independence drama directed by Abhishek Kapoor.

The film "Azaad" is scheduled to hit theatres on January 17. At the trailer launch, Devgn shared his thoughts, saying, "I wish they go beyond us, they become bigger than us. (I hope) Whatever little we achieve, they get more than that." He noted that today's actors come better prepared compared to when he started. Back then, actors learned on set, but now preparation is key as audiences are less forgiving.

Devgn highlighted how audiences today are less forgiving of mistakes made by new actors. He believes that preparation is crucial for success in the industry now. He mentioned that despite guidance from director Abhishek Kapoor, it always feels like preparation isn't enough because modern audiences are demanding.

The actor emphasised the importance of carving one's own path rather than following others. "If you follow someone, then you will never succeed," he stated. Aaman shared that his uncle's film "The Legend of Bhagat Singh" inspired him to pursue acting. He also received valuable advice from Devgn about staying grounded despite success.

Rasha Thadani mentioned her mother's advice to follow the teachings of the Bhagavad Gita: "Putting in your best and then whatever happens is up to god." This advice resonated with her due to the emotional challenges and criticism prevalent in the industry.

Despite having worked together before, Rasha met Devgn for the first time on the set of "Azaad." She admitted feeling nervous initially but found comfort in his presence. She described working on the film as a fun experience where everyone felt secure and at ease.

"Azaad" also stars Diana Penty and Mohit Mallik in important roles. The screenplay is crafted by Ritesh Shah, Suresh Nair, and Abhishek Kapoor. The production team includes Ronnie Screwvala and Pragya Kapoor as producers.
