Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha Set For Strong Box Office Opening, May Surpass Sarfira
Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha Box Office Collection Day 1 Prediction: Ajay Devgn and Tabu are making headlines once again. The duo, known for their longstanding on-screen chemistry, is set to release their 10th film together. Directed by Neeraj Pandey, "Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha" also stars Jimmy Sheirgill, Shantanu Maheshwari, and Saiee Manjrekar.
The film is a romantic thriller that spans 23 years, from 2000 to 2023. It explores the emotional depth and evolving dynamics of a couple's relationship over two decades. Despite the buzz around Ajay and Tabu's chemistry in the trailer, the movie has received mixed reviews from audiences. This leaves fans curious about its box office performance. Notably, this marks Ajay's third release of the year after "Shaitaan" and "Maidaan".

Producer and film business expert Girish Johar shared his insights with Filmibeat regarding the box office prospects of "Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha". He stated, "It is one of the most fascinating films which is surprisingly not trending quite well. I somehow get the feeling that the makers have tried to make it below the radar because I believe Neeraj Pandey, Ajay Devgn and Tabu are three aces of the film. And I believe nothing short of solid excitement when the three of them come together. All three are powerhouses of talent."
Johar further added that if the film opens between Rs 3-4 crore on its first day, it would be a good start. He mentioned that if word-of-mouth picks up by evening, it could even touch Rs 5 crore. This prediction hinges on the acting prowess of Ajay and Tabu combined with Neeraj Pandey's direction.
Meanwhile, director Neeraj Pandey shared his thoughts on casting Ajay Devgn and Tabu in an interview with News18. He said, "Two years back, when we were figuring out our next theatrical release, the germ of this film came to me. It was there in some form in my head before that but I didn't actually sit down and write about it till two years ago. And Ajay and Tabu were my first choices."
He continued by saying he wasn't sure if their friendship translated onscreen as he knew nothing about its background: "Having said that, I don't know if it's their friendship that translated onscreen because I know nothing about its background."
If reports are accurate, "Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha" might surpass Akshay Kumar's "Sarfira," which collected Rs 2.5 crore on its opening day. The official numbers are yet to be released.
The anticipation surrounding this film is palpable due to its unique storyline and star-studded cast. Fans eagerly await to see how it performs at the box office.
