A report from Bollywood Hungama disclosed that a multiplex official received instructions to start Maidaan's screenings from 6:00 PM on April 10. The directive also included halting all bookings for shows slated before this time and issuing refunds for those already booked. This adjustment was not exclusive to Maidaan; Bade Miyan Chote Miyan's producers requested a similar scheduling change.

The timing adjustment sets the stage for an intriguing box office showdown between Ajay Devgn's Maidaan and Bade Miyan Chote Miyan. Devgn commented on the situation, stating, "First of all I won't call it a clash. If you are calling it a clash, then in your language I wouldn't want two films to release at the same time. However, there are certain obligations due to which the films are to be released". The outcome of this box office battle post-release remains highly anticipated.
