Abha Ranta Reflects On Her Heeramandi Role And Awaiting Feedback From Manisha Koirala

Heeramandi: Sanjay Leela Bhansali's OTT debut is receiving positive feedback from audiences. The series features Manisha Koirala, Sonakshi Sinha, Richa Chadha, Sanjeeda Shaikh, Aditi Rao Hydari, and Sharmin Sehgal in lead roles. Additionally, the series includes many actors in significant roles, one of whom is Abha Ranta. She plays the younger version of Mallika Jaan.

While Manisha Koirala is being praised for her portrayal of Mallika Jaan, Abha Ranta has also garnered attention for her performance. Notably, Abha is the sister of Laapataa Ladies actress Pratibha Ranta, who also has a crucial role in the series.

In a recent interaction with Filmibeat, Abha discussed her experience working on Heeramandi and more. When asked if she met Manisha Koirala during filming, Abha said, "No, because our timelines are very different. In fact, I wanted to have a scene with my sister as well. Since Manisha ma'am was my older version, I didn't meet her on set."

Regarding whether she met Manisha Koirala at the premiere and spoke to her, Abha stated, "No, if I had worked with her then it would have been easier for me to approach her and talk to her. But I would love to know what she thinks about my performance and if she feels I justified the role. However, I didn't get a chance to talk to her."

Before venturing into acting, Abha appeared in numerous advertisements and shared screen space with stars like Amitabh Bachchan and Vicky Kaushal. She also revealed that she was the first to receive confirmation about Heeramandi, followed by her sister Pratibha.
