Karan Johar Acknowledges Ayan Mukerji's Vision As Brahmastra Wins Three Awards At The 70th National Awards
"Brahmastra Part One: Shiva" achieved notable success at the 70th National Awards, winning three significant honours. Arijit Singh was awarded Best Male Playback Singer for "Kesariya." The film also won Best Film in AVGC (Animation, Visual Effects, Gaming, and Comic) and Best VFX Film. These awards highlight the exceptional musical and technical talents that contributed to the film's success.
Producer Karan Johar and director Ayan Mukerji attended the award ceremony to express their gratitude. Johar credited Mukerji's visionary direction for the film's success. He stated, "I can't take any credit for the special effects, the VFX component. Brahmastra is entirely Ayan Mukerji's brainchild. It's his baby and his vision. He has created this whole world. I am here just to clap loudly, support them and, of course, very humbly accept the honour. But, it's really him." This statement reflects the collaborative spirit behind the film.

The excitement for "Brahmastra 2" continues to grow among fans eagerly awaiting its release. Ranbir Kapoor shared updates on the sequel's progress during a fan interaction. He mentioned that "Brahmastra 2" is currently in the writing phase with Ayan Mukerji expanding on ideas from part one. Kapoor revealed, "So Brahmastra 2 is heavy into writing. We are working on it all the time, it was just last week that Ayan narrated the film to me. Ayan has gone ten times bigger than part 1, his idea, his thoughts, the characters."
Kapoor further explained that Mukerji is currently working on "War 2," aiming to complete it by mid-next year before starting production on "Brahmastra 2." The plan is to begin shooting by late next year or early in the following year. This insight into Mukerji's ambitious vision for the sequel adds to audience anticipation.
The original "Brahmastra" featured a remarkable cast with Ranbir Kapoor as Shiva and Alia Bhatt as Isha. Amitabh Bachchan played a Guru role while Mouni Roy portrayed an antagonist, enriching the storyline with her performance. Notable cameos from Shah Rukh Khan and Nagarjuna added depth and intrigue to this cinematic experience.
As celebrations continue for their National Awards success, both industry insiders and fans are reminded of collaborative creativity's power in filmmaking. The accolades not only honour those involved but also set high standards for storytelling excellence within Indian cinema.
