Jack Draper Triumphs Over Carlos Alcaraz In Queen's Club Upset

Jack Draper secured the most significant victory of his career by defeating defending Queen's Club champion Carlos Alcaraz in straight sets on Thursday. Following his first ATP tour title win in Stuttgart, Draper triumphed over the French Open winner with a score of 7-6 (7-3), 6-3.

Draper's performance was marked by his unyielding service games, as he did not lose a single one throughout the match. Alcaraz, however, maintained his service games in the opening set, pushing the match into a tie-break. Draper capitalised on Alcaraz's errors to gain an advantage.

Despite Alcaraz's formidable presence, Draper managed to secure a crucial break to lead 4-2 in the second set. He then rallied to clinch his third victory against top-10 opponents. Draper's next challenge will be against fifth seed Tommy Paul in the quarter-finals.

Alcaraz entered the match with an eight-match winning streak, bolstered by his recent victory at Roland Garros. However, he struggled to overcome Draper's impressive form. The British number one excelled particularly in his serves, winning 76 per cent of his service points during the one hour and 39-minute contest.

Draper's win marks a significant milestone in his career, showcasing his potential to compete at the highest levels of tennis. As he prepares to face Tommy Paul, all eyes will be on whether he can continue this momentum.
