Djokovic Lauds 'Complete' Alcaraz Before Wimbledon Final Showdown
Novak Djokovic has praised Carlos Alcaraz, calling him an exceptionally well-rounded player. This comes as Djokovic prepares for a rematch with Alcaraz in this year's Wimbledon final. The seven-time champion secured his spot in the final after defeating Lorenzo Musetti in straight sets on Centre Court.
Alcaraz, the reigning champion, is aiming for his fourth career major and second of the season, having won the French Open last month. Djokovic acknowledged Alcaraz's balanced skill set and strong support system. "He has a great team around him, great values in his life, a lot of charisma and is someone who carries himself superbly," said Djokovic.

Djokovic also highlighted Alcaraz's popularity and potential for future success. "He's one of the greatest 21-year-olds we've ever seen, and we're going to see a lot of him in the future, no doubt. He's going to win many Grand Slams, but hopefully not in two days. He can do it when I retire," he added.
Djokovic's journey to the final is particularly noteworthy given his recent knee surgery. Just over a month ago, he withdrew from Roland-Garros due to his knee issues. Despite initial doubts about his participation at Wimbledon, Djokovic managed to make significant progress in a short period.
"There was plenty of doubt," admitted Djokovic. "I came into London eight days before the tournament started. I didn't know [if I would play] and was keeping everything open until the day of the draw."
A Thrilling Rematch Awaits
The upcoming final promises to be a thrilling encounter, especially considering their previous five-set battle at Wimbledon last year where Alcaraz emerged victorious. "He already beat me here in a Wimbledon final in a five-set thriller, so I don't expect anything less than a huge battle," said Djokovic.
Djokovic knows that facing Alcaraz will require his best performance. "He is as complete a player as they come, so it's going to take the best of my ability to beat him," he stated.
Overcoming Challenges
Despite undergoing knee surgery recently, Djokovic has shown remarkable resilience and determination. His ability to compete at such a high level after surgery is impressive. "I played a couple of practice sets with top players and that proved to me that I was in a good enough state to not just be in Wimbledon but to go deep into the tournament," he explained.
Djokovic remains focused on his goal of winning another title. "That kind of mentality is there and is ever present. I'm obviously very, very pleased and satisfied to get to another final, but I don't want to stop there," he concluded.
