Novak Djokovic Beats Griekspoor To Secure Geneva Open Semi-Final Spot
Novak Djokovic secured a straight-sets victory over Tallon Griekspoor in the Geneva Open quarter-finals on Thursday, setting up a semi-final clash with Tomas Machac. Djokovic faced a challenging start, with Griekspoor generating three set points in the first set. However, Griekspoor failed to convert any of them.
The world number one capitalised on Griekspoor's missed opportunities by breaking his serve at the end of a closely contested service game. Djokovic then comfortably served out the first set. In the second set, Djokovic took an early break and maintained his dominance, serving at 81 per cent and winning 92 per cent of points behind his first serve. He cruised to a 7-5, 6-1 win.
