Andy Murray Fumes At Umpire Amid Severe Weather At Geneva Open
Andy Murray expressed his frustration with the umpire as adverse weather conditions led to the suspension of his Geneva Open match against Yannick Hanfmann. The match was halted with Murray trailing, as Hanfmann led 7-5, 4-1. The former world number one was visibly upset with umpire Greg Allensworth as the weather worsened.
"I know you guys don't play, but it'd be good to have a bit of a feel for what's happening," Murray said during a break in play. "You're fine for us to play when there's stuff flying around?"

Murray continued, "It's like it's snowing out here and you still want us to keep going." Eventually, Allensworth decided to send the players back to the dressing rooms.
Murray is using the Geneva Open as preparation for what could be his first French Open appearance since 2020. A potential tie with Novak Djokovic looms if Murray can manage a comeback on Tuesday, although it appears highly unlikely given the current scoreline.
