Dubai Land Department Launches 'Dubai Real Estate Connect' Initiative In India To Enhance Global Investment Ties
Dubai Land Department (DLD), in partnership with Q4 Consultants and IIFL Group, recently hosted the ‘Dubai Real Estate Connect’ event in New Delhi. This initiative aims to bolster Dubai's status as a global leader in real estate investment. The event was attended by Dr Abdul Nasser Al Shaali, UAE Ambassador to India, alongside prominent investors and entrepreneurs from India's real estate sector.
The initiative is part of DLD's ongoing strategy to promote Dubai's real estate market globally. It seeks to strengthen investment ties with key markets like India, which is a crucial partner for Dubai in this sector. The event aligns with the broader Real Estate I, Dubai’s Real Estate Promotion Strategy, which targets several international cities throughout the year.

The delegation from Dubai included Majida Ali Rashid, CEO of the Real Estate Development Sector; Majid Al Marri, CEO of the Real Estate Registration Sector; Khalifa Al Zeriem Al Suwaidi, CEO of Emirates Real Estate Solutions (ERES); and Mohammed Yahya, Director of the Real Estate Transactions Department. They presented on Dubai’s real estate landscape, showcasing its promising opportunities and competitive advantages.
During their visit, they discussed strategic pillars such as modern urban planning trends and streamlined regulatory procedures. They also highlighted integrated digital services that simplify business operations and protect investor rights. These efforts underscore the strong bilateral relations between the UAE and India.
DLD emphasised its pioneering digital transformation initiatives at the event. These include the Tokenisation Project, making Dubai the first in the region to use blockchain for property registration. Other initiatives are the AI-powered Smart Rental Index and digital platforms like the Dubai REST app, all aimed at enhancing transaction efficiency.
Majida Ali Rashid commented: "Dubai Land Department continues to strengthen its global presence by launching the ‘Dubai Real Estate Connect’ event in New Delhi, India, opening new avenues for cooperation and investment between Dubai and India in the real estate sector." She noted that these initiatives reflect Dubai’s vision as a global capital for real estate innovation.
Recognition of Women's Contributions
The ‘She Pioneers’ initiative by DLD received significant appreciation from Indian participants. This led to an invitation for DLD to honour leading women in India's real estate sector during the event. This recognition highlights women's vital role in advancing the real estate market.
Majid Al Marri stressed that ‘Dubai Real Estate Connect’ is more than just a promotional event; it serves as an economic bridge linking two dynamic markets. He stated: "Our visit reaffirms Dubai’s full readiness to attract international investors and strengthen its position as a global hub for real estate investment."
Future Prospects
The initiative supports Dubai's 2033 strategy to be among the top three global cities for real estate investment. This strategy focuses on transparency, efficiency, and technology-driven innovation. Such efforts have boosted international confidence in Dubai’s real estate ecosystem.
DLD aims to benefit from India's advanced innovation experience by establishing strategic partnerships with Indian investors and business leaders. This collaboration is expected to contribute to sustainable growth and deeper economic integration between both regions.
