ADAFSA Opens Al Sila Veterinary And Agricultural Services Centre In Abu Dhabi

The Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority has opened the Al Sila Veterinary and Agricultural Services Centre, designed to support farmers and livestock breeders in the Al Sila region. The facility aims to improve animal health, strengthen local agricultural systems, and give residents easier access to essential veterinary and farming services.

ADAFSA states that the Al Sila Veterinary and Agricultural Services Centre fits within wider efforts to raise service quality across Abu Dhabi. The Authority links the project to its responsibility for agricultural sustainability, disease control, and long-term stability of both crop and livestock production in the emirate.

ADAFSA Opens Al Sila Centre

The Al Sila Veterinary and Agricultural Services Centre offers a full range of veterinary and agricultural services in one location. The centre carries out clinical examinations, laboratory tests, scheduled vaccination campaigns, and treatment of animal health conditions. It also delivers extension services for agriculture and livestock, helping farmers apply recognised best practices in animal care and farm management.

According to ADAFSA, the Al Sila Veterinary and Agricultural Services Centre represents a strategic move to modernise service delivery frameworks. The Authority expects the facility to shorten waiting times, improve access for farmers and breeders, and support rapid field response during agricultural or veterinary emergencies, while also strengthening biosecurity measures.

The Authority considers the Al Sila Veterinary and Agricultural Services Centre an important addition to existing infrastructure in the region. By expanding local capacity, ADAFSA aims to better protect animal resources, support sustainable production systems, and keep field teams ready to handle any urgent health or agricultural incidents in Al Sila.

The inauguration ceremony brought together key officials, including Mouza Suhail Al Muhairi, Deputy Director-General for Regulatory and Administrative Affairs. Also present were Mubarak Al Qusaili Al Mansouri, Advisor to the Director-General, Rashid Mohammed Al Mansouri, Executive Director of the Animal Wealth Sector, and Mohammed Khalfan Al Mansouri, Executive Director of the Support Services Sector, alongside representatives of regional government bodies.

ADAFSA notes that the Al Sila Veterinary and Agricultural Services Centre reflects its plan to widen its geographical coverage across Abu Dhabi. By positioning services nearer to local users, the Authority aims to meet community needs more effectively and contribute to a better quality of life for residents in the Al Sila region.
