International Women's Day: Zayed University Hosts 'Inspiring Inclusivity' Event
Zayed University recently marked International Women's Day with a special event themed 'Inspiring Inclusivity', held across its Abu Dhabi and Dubai campuses on March 4 and 7, respectively. This event, orchestrated by the University's Student Affairs team alongside committed student leaders, was a vibrant celebration of women's advancements and empowerment within ZU and throughout the UAE. It asserted the critical role women play in sculpting a promising future.
The celebration showcased a variety of community engagement activities geared towards celebrating and acknowledging the progress of women. The Notable Female Leaders Exhibition was a cornerstone of the event, providing students with an opportunity to explore the significant accomplishments of distinguished women affiliated with ZU. This exhibition highlighted their contributions and the impact they've had.

Additionally, the Art Corner offered a stage for students to exhibit their artistic prowess, with a focus on female empowerment themes. A complementary feature, the 'Thank You to the Woman Who Inspired Me' Wall, allowed the university community to express their admiration and gratitude towards influential women in their lives.
Jane Tatterton, Acting Assistant Provost for Student Affairs at Zayed University, reflected on the event's success, stating, "It was amazing to witness the array of activities on campus for International Women's Day. Each part of the 'Inspiring Inclusivity' celebration highlight how far we have come in advancing gender equality. Since our foundation, when we were first an all-female institution, Zayed University has been a key enabler in providing young women with higher education, and it is moments like these that remind us all to keep pushing forward, together."
International Women's Day is an annual occasion at Zayed University, celebrating the institution's longstanding commitment to gender equality. This year's theme underscored ZU's dedication to nurturing an inclusive environment that acknowledges and supports female leadership and excellence, a principle deeply ingrained in the university's heritage. By celebrating women's achievements and fostering creativity, unity and gratitude, this event mirrored ZU's foundational values of empowerment, community engagement and respect.
