Sharjah: Wathba Programme Participants Enhance Leadership Skills At INSEAD's Strategic Leadership Course
Participants in the Wathba Programme are set to travel to Paris for an educational experience as part of the programme's second phase. This phase, titled Strategic Leadership, will occur from 14th to 17th April 2025 at INSEAD, a renowned institution for leadership and management. The first phase took place in the UAE and focused on using narrative as a tool for influence and persuasion.
The Paris visit marks a crucial milestone in the programme, offering an intensive learning environment. Participants will focus on enhancing their leadership qualities while expanding their strategic thinking and decision-making skills. This aligns with Sharjah Capability Development's goal of preparing Emirati youth for leadership roles on regional and global platforms.

During this phase, participants will engage in interactive training sessions led by experienced INSEAD academics. These sessions cover topics such as leadership development, high-performance team building, digital transformation, strategic collaboration, negotiation, and managing change without formal authority. The hands-on approach aims to deepen understanding of real-world challenges.
The programme combines theoretical knowledge with practical tools to enhance personal and professional abilities. This approach prepares participants to become future-ready leaders. It also supports the aim of equipping Emirati youth to represent the UAE confidently in various forums.
The organisers of "Wathba" highlighted that partnering with INSEAD is a strategic move to deliver world-class content. This collaboration provides participants with a unique opportunity to acquire high-level skills essential for facing future challenges. The skills gained will enable them to contribute meaningfully to their organisations and societies.
Participants will also work on case studies to gain insights into solving institutional difficulties effectively. These activities are designed to improve strategic thinking and decision-making abilities in real-world scenarios.
This comprehensive programme seeks not only to develop leadership qualities but also to broaden strategic perspectives. By doing so, it aims to prepare participants for significant roles within their organisations and beyond.
