UAE Hosts Second Industrialists Career Exhibition With 800 Job Opportunities

The United Arab Emirates has inaugurated the second edition of the Industrialists Career Exhibition, a pivotal event aimed at bolstering the national workforce by offering 800 job opportunities across more than 80 entities in the industrial, technological, and service sectors. This three-day event, spanning from April 21 to April 23, is orchestrated by the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology (MoIAT) with a clear objective: to integrate Emirati talent into the private sector through substantial employment and training prospects. Additionally, this year's exhibition places a significant emphasis on the National In-Country Value (ICV) Programme, striving to fortify local supply chains and advocate for Emiratisation.

The exhibition's commencement was marked by the presence of notable figures including Dr. Sultan Al Jaber, Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology; Ghanam Butti Al Mazrouei, Secretary General of the Emirati Talent Competitiveness Council (Nafis); and Omar Al Suwaidi, Undersecretary of MoIAT. A noteworthy highlight of this year's event is its dedication to creating 150 job opportunities specifically for people of determination, marking a first in the exhibition's history.

800 Jobs at UAE Career Expo

Omar Al Suwaidi underscored MoIAT's dedication to enhancing the national industrial sector's growth and competitiveness by nurturing and advancing Emirati talent. The Industrialists Career Exhibition is envisaged as a dynamic platform that congregates companies, training institutions, and Emirati job aspirants to address vacancies within local industrial firms. The initiative is on track to generate over 1,000 new job opportunities by year-end, with 800 positions being offered in this current edition alone.

Ghannam Al Mazrouei lauded the crucial role of career exhibitions in spotlighting employment avenues within the industrial and advanced technology realms for Emirati nationals. He highlighted how such events are instrumental in promoting Emiratisation and economic resilience within the nation.

Yaser Saeed Al Mazrouei from Adnoc accentuated the corporation's commitment to propelling the national economy forward and empowering Emirati talent through the In-Country Value Programme. This initiative places a strong emphasis on Emiratisation within major contracts and facilitates the recruitment of UAE nationals in the private sector, thereby ensuring sustainable job opportunities.

The inaugural Industrialists Career Exhibition was held in October 2023, successfully providing over 500 jobs to Emirati nationals. A memorandum of understanding was also established between MoIAT, the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MoHRE), and Nafis to collaborate on empowering talent as part of the ICV Programme.

In essence, the Industrialists Career Exhibition stands as a testament to the UAE's commitment to providing meaningful job and training opportunities for its nationals, promoting the ICV Programme, and reinforcing the integral role of private sector engagement and national talent in driving economic growth within the country.
