The Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation for Medical and Educational Sciences has officially announced the start of the 2024-2025 cycle for its prestigious educational awards at the local level. The Foundation is now accepting nominations through its official website, marking a significant moment for the educational and medical sectors in the region. Humaid Al Qatami, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, expressed his pride in launching the new cycle under a motto inspired by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, emphasizing the critical role of excellence and innovation in societal development.

Al Qatami highlighted that the awards aim to identify and nurture talent, fostering an environment of creativity and innovation. He anticipates a surge in participation due to extensive awareness campaigns conducted in partnership with various institutions. Dr Khalifa Al Suwaidi, Secretary-General and CEO of the Foundation, echoed these sentiments, stating that the awards celebrate outstanding contributions from students, educators, and institutions alike. He stressed the importance of adapting to scientific and technological advancements to ensure the awards remain relevant and impactful.

UAE's New Educational Awards Cycle

The Foundation has introduced several categories for this cycle, including awards for distinguished students at both school and university levels, teachers, educators, schools, and supporting educational institutions. Dr Al Suwaidi urged potential candidates to seize this opportunity for recognition and to submit their applications between March 4, 2024, and September 19, 2024.

Applications will be rigorously evaluated by panels comprising experts with extensive experience in assessment and adherence to international standards. The previous cycle saw considerable engagement, with 198 participants vying for recognition across various categories, ultimately resulting in 40 winners. This year's cycle promises to build on that success, further enhancing the Foundation's commitment to promoting excellence in education and medical sciences.
