Tamkeen And BIBF Join Forces To Enhance HR Expertise In Bahrain

Bahrain's Labour Fund Tamkeen has recently unveiled its collaboration with the Bahrain Institute of Banking & Finance (BIBF) to offer support for Bahraini individuals keen on pursuing the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) programme. This initiative is set to empower Bahraini talent within the human resources (HR) sector by providing specialized training in partnership with CIPD, a globally recognized professional body for HR, Learning and Development (L&D), and Organisation Development (OD).

This strategic alliance is a testament to Tamkeen's dedication to enhancing the skills of the national workforce and propelling sustainable economic growth in Bahrain's key industries. By fostering professional development, Tamkeen aims to open up employment opportunities for Bahrainis, enabling them to excel in their careers.

Boosting Bahraini HR Talent

Maha Abdulhameed Mofeez, Chief Executive of Tamkeen, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, stating, "Through partnerships with institutions such as the BIBF, Tamkeen is making it easier for national talent to access high-quality training programmes that are essential for career advancement and personal growth." She further emphasized the initiative's role in nurturing Bahraini professionals to succeed in the dynamic labour market and contribute to the Kingdom's economic prosperity.

Dr Ahmed Abdul Hameed Al Shaikh, CEO of BIBF, also highlighted the importance of this collaboration. He remarked, "This collaboration underscores our commitment to delivering high-quality training programmes that address the needs of Bahrain's workforce." He added that together with Tamkeen and CIPD, they aim to elevate HR standards and practices in Bahrain and empower Bahrainis to pursue successful careers in this field.

The CIPD qualification is recognized globally as a benchmark of excellence in HR and organisational development. It offers three levels tailored to professionals at various stages of their careers. With Tamkeen's support, Bahraini candidates will have access to training opportunities across all levels, ensuring a comprehensive education that meets industry standards and best practices.

Candidates must be Bahraini nationals aged 18 or above and meet the eligibility criteria for their respective CIPD levels. Level 3 targets individuals aspiring or already working in entry-level HR roles. Level 5 is aimed at professionals with experience in HR roles who are looking to advance their careers. Level 7 caters to experienced HR practitioners or those in senior roles seeking to enhance their strategic and leadership skills.

Tamkeen’s partnership with BIBF aligns with its 2024 strategic priorities focused on economic impact and private sector development under three pillars: increasing economic participation through employment opportunities for new entrants, expanding career development opportunities for the Bahraini workforce, and developing the private sector by supporting enterprises and boosting productivity and technology adoption.
