The Dubai campus, which welcomed over 100 students in its inaugural September session, is the first Indian university in Dubai to be fully accredited and licensed by the UAE's Commission for Academic Accreditation (CAA), Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA), and Ministry of Education (MOE). This accreditation underscores SIU's commitment to providing a globally recognized, world-class education, aligning with Dubai's D33 agenda and Education 33 strategy. This strategy aims to prepare a future-ready workforce, enhancing Dubai's economic and educational landscape.

SIU's Dubai campus is strategically positioned to offer internationally recognized programs in fields such as business, computer science, and media studies, contributing to the UAE's vision of internationalizing education and fostering a skilled workforce. "Internationalization is central to the UAE's educational vision," said Dr. Vidya Yeradekar, Pro-Chancellor of SIU.\

This initiative enables students from across the globe to experience a global academic environment, benefiting from international faculty and real-world industry collaborations. Marwan Abdulaziz Janahi, Senior Vice President of Dubai Knowledge Park and Dubai International Academic City, highlighted the importance of this expansion in creating a vibrant intellectual corridor between the UAE and India.

Aisha Miran, the Director General at KHDA, praised the university's alignment with Dubai's aim to rank among the world's top 10 student cities by 2033. The partnerships established with entities like Aston University, L&T, Dubai Police, and IEEE through Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) will enrich the university's network, offering scholarships, collaborative research opportunities, and community-industry connections.

The event also highlighted the strong network of over 1,000 Symbiosis alumni in leadership positions across the UAE, emphasizing the university's legacy and its role in supporting the region's workforce development goals. To further support talented students from diverse backgrounds, the Dubai campus has announced exclusive scholarships, reinforcing SIU's dedication to inclusivity and educational excellence.

In his keynote speech, Sheikh Nahayan emphasized the significance of the Dubai campus launch, stating, "This initiative sets a new standard for academic innovation," and celebrated the mutual vision of promoting global education in a multicultural environment. Dr. S. Jaishankar praised the campus as "a proud achievement not just for Symbiosis but also for Indian higher education," highlighting the deepened educational and cultural ties between India and the UAE.

The campus offers a range of accredited degrees in high-demand sectors, including business, computer science, and media studies, preparing students for successful careers. Additionally, the introduction of a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) program aligns with the UAE's need for qualified educators, supporting the region's thriving education sector and contributing to its knowledge-based economy.

The opening of Symbiosis International University's Dubai campus represents a landmark in the educational cooperation between India and the UAE. By offering internationally recognized programs and fostering strategic partnerships, SIU is set to make a significant impact on the higher education landscape in the UAE, contributing to the development of a skilled workforce and promoting global education in a multicultural context.
