The Rashid and Latifa Schools Establishment (RLSE) will begin accepting scholarship applications for British curriculum students entering Years 7, 8, and 9 in the 2026–2027 academic year on 6 October 2025. The RLSE aims to provide student-centred learning while supporting Dubai's Economic Agenda (D33) and Social Agenda 33. This approach seeks to build an education system that strengthens human capital and meets Dubai’s future ambitions. Founded in the early 1980s, Rashid School for Boys and Latifa School for Girls have shaped many prominent national figures.

Graduates from these institutions make up 19% of the UAE Cabinet, highlighting their significant impact. Over the years, RLSE has equipped more than 2,000 students with skills necessary for success in government, entrepreneurship, community service, arts, and other fields. The schools are renowned for their academic excellence and leadership development.

Dr. Rabaa Al Sumaiti, CEO of RLSE, highlighted the institution’s commitment to an advanced curriculum that combines academic excellence with a strong sense of national identity. The exclusive Leadership Diploma offered alongside secondary qualifications focuses on developing character, critical thinking, innovation, and leadership skills.

This aligns with Dubai and the UAE’s vision of nurturing a globally competitive generation. Dr. Al Sumaiti added that RLSE adopts a holistic approach balancing academic achievement with life skills and character development. This prepares students to contribute effectively to society and the nation.

Selective Scholarship Programme

The scholarship programme targets both Emirati citizens of Dubai and expat residents applying to Years 7, 8, and 9. A selective process will be implemented to attract top-performing students who excel academically and demonstrate leadership acumen or talents in various fields like athletics or technology.

Applications open on 6 October and close on 7 November through the school’s official website. Applicants will undergo assessment tests to ensure they meet academic and leadership criteria set by RLSE.

State-of-the-Art Campus Facilities

The new Rashid and Latifa School campus is the largest in the Gulf region at nearly 280,000 square metres. Built with global sustainability principles in mind, it offers practical lessons in sustainability as a way of life. Facilities include separate residential buildings for boys and girls, an Arabic studies facility, a theatre, sports grounds, AI labs, e-sports labs, and arts studios.

This variety of facilities is integral to RLSE's mission of providing a holistic learning experience that nurtures academic excellence alongside creativity and leadership skills.
