In a significant move towards enhancing media education in Qatar, Media City Qatar (MCQ) and Qatar University (QU) have established a partnership through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), unveiled at the prestigious Qatar Economic Forum. This collaboration marks a pivotal step in preparing current students and recent graduates of QU for the dynamic and ever-evolving media landscape, aligning perfectly with the aspirations of the Qatar National Vision 2030 to forge an education-powered media society.
The partnership between MCQ and QU is set to introduce a spectrum of hands-on learning experiences designed to immerse students and recent graduates in the practical aspects of the media industry. Participants will benefit from shadowing and internship programs alongside MCQ's esteemed licensees and partners, with opportunities spanning both local and international platforms. This initiative is aimed at providing a rich, real-world experience across various media disciplines including journalism, editorial work, broadcasting, media production, and more, thereby equipping participants with the critical skills required to excel in today’s media sector.
