Largest-Ever Yas In Schools National Finals Hosted By ADNOC Welcomes 1,000+ Students
The prestigious UAE National Finals, presented by ADNOC, is set to return with its 14th edition, promising to be the largest yet. Yas Marina Circuit is gearing up to host over 1,000 students from across the nation, participating in the Yas in Schools National Finals. This event, spanning five days, showcases students' hard work and dedication in four competitive categories: F1® in Schools, Formula Ethara, Ethara Go, and 4 x 4 in Schools.
With a holistic approach to learning, the Yas in Schools programme enables students to experience the complete process of forming a racing team. This includes everything from conceptualizing and building a brand to engineering a model Formula 1® car. Over 300 teams from the UAE are set to converge in Abu Dhabi, bringing with them their academic prowess and creative innovations.

The participants have gone through a stringent qualifying process to secure their place in the 2024 Yas in Schools National Finals. The highlight of the event, commencing on June 20th, will be the F1® in Schools National Finals, where students vie for a coveted spot at the F1® in Schools World Finals.
This year sees the introduction of Ethara Go, a program designed for students under the age of 13. Launched earlier in the year, Ethara Go aims to spark interest in STEM outside the classroom by allowing participants to design and build their mini cars. The finals for Ethara Go are scheduled for June 22 & 23, marking a significant addition to the event's offerings.
For the first time, the event will feature a challenge for students to create AI show cars, adding an innovative dimension to the National Finals. Paul Bray, Yas in Schools Manager, expressed excitement over hosting the finals, highlighting the significant increase in participation and the introduction of new programs. Bray underscored the event as a showcase of exceptional skills and innovation, emblematic of the excellence pursued by the ADNOC Yas in Schools program.
Marking its 15th year, ADNOC Yas in Schools has facilitated over 1 million hours of student learning, emphasizing its commitment to fostering skills in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). The program not only encourages students to engage in STEM subjects but also helps them understand the intricacies of building a sustainable motorsport brand, mirroring the professional world of Formula 1®.
As it prepares to welcome a record number of participants, the Yas in Schools National Finals stands as a testament to the growing interest and investment in STEM education across the UAE. Through initiatives like ADNOC Yas in Schools, the future of innovation and creativity in the fields of science and technology looks promising, nurturing the next generation of engineers, marketers, and brand architects.
