KHDA Confirms Eid Al Adha Holiday For Dubai's Private Schools

Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA) has announced an important update for private educational institutions in Dubai. Schools, universities, and nurseries scheduled to resume their operations on Wednesday, June 19, following a brief closure to Eid Al Adha. This period of closure extends from Saturday, June 15, to Tuesday, June 18, and these holidays will be observed across various sectors in Dubai and the broader United Arab Emirates.

The scheduling of these holidays aligns with the Dubai government's earlier declaration for Eid Al Adha. Government employees were informed of the holiday period that matches the dates private educational institutions are observing. This ensured a uniform break across both public and private sectors, providing a clear and coordinated break for Eid celebrations. The Federal Authority for Human Resources echoed this announcement, specifying the same holiday period for government personnel.

Additionally, the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MOHRE) has outlined the observance of the Eid Al Adha holidays for the private sector. Spanning the same dates, from Saturday, June 15, to Tuesday, June 18, the MOHRE has assured that employees in the private sector will enjoy paid leave. This move is part of the UAE's commitment to celebrating Arafah Day and Eid Al Adha, ensuring all residents have the opportunity to participate in the festivities.

This coordinated approach to holiday scheduling across different sectors underscores the UAE's emphasis on cultural observance and the importance of Eid Al Adha within the Islamic calendar. By providing clear directives and ensuring widespread compliance, the authorities aim to facilitate a smooth transition back to normal operations post-holiday.

For the residents of Dubai and the broader UAE, this period marks a time of celebration, reflection, and community engagement, punctuated by the resumption of educational activities as outlined by the KHDA.
