Nominations Open For Hamdan Foundation's Gulf-Level Education Awards

The Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation for Medical and Educational Sciences has officially opened nominations for its prestigious Gulf-level education awards. This initiative, aimed at recognizing and honouring the achievements of students, teachers, and educational institutions, is now accepting applications in three distinct categories: the Distinguished Student Award, the Distinguished Teacher Award, and the Distinguished School Award.

Dr. Khalifa Al Suwaidi, Secretary-General and CEO of the Foundation, expressed enthusiasm about the new cycle of awards. "We are pleased to announce the launch of educational awards at the Gulf-level in their new cycle," he stated. The awards aim to spotlight the accomplishments within the educational sector across Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, encouraging creative and academic excellence.

GCC Education Awards Nominations Open

The nomination window for these prestigious awards opened in March 2024 and will remain open until September 19, 2024. Applicants from all GCC countries are invited to submit their nominations through the Foundation's official website, where detailed information and application requirements are readily available.

Entries submitted for consideration will be subjected to a thorough evaluation process by panels of highly qualified judges. These panels will utilize the highest international arbitration standards, incorporating advanced systems and technologies to ensure a fair and comprehensive assessment.

Dr. Abdulrahman bin Mohammed Al-Asmi, Director-General of the Arab Bureau of Education for the Gulf States, highlighted the significance of these awards in fostering educational excellence. "These awards play a crucial role in enhancing educational performance among teachers, students, school leaders, and institutions," he remarked. By recognizing outstanding contributions to education, the awards aim to elevate the overall quality and efficiency of education within the Gulf region.

Established by the late Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the awards seek to promote excellence and innovation in education. The previous cycle saw a notable increase in participation, with 89 entries and 17 winners being celebrated for their contributions to the educational sector.

This initiative not only acknowledges individual and institutional achievements but also serves as a catalyst for further development within the Gulf's educational landscape. Through such recognition, the Foundation continues its mission to support and enhance educational standards across the region.
