Applications open for Dh1.1 Billion Hamdan bin Mohammed Scholarship Programme For 100 Emirati Students
The Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA) has officially announced the opening of applications for the inaugural year of the Hamdan bin Mohammed Scholarship Programme. This significant educational initiative, established under the guidance of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Executive Council of Dubai, aims to bolster Dubai's Social Agenda 33 through a Dh1.1 billion endowment. Annually, 100 Emirati students will be awarded scholarships to attend top universities worldwide, marking a significant investment in the UAE's future leaders.
The scholarships are specifically designed for outstanding Emirati students who have recently graduated from public and private schools across the UAE. Comprehensive coverage includes tuition fees, living expenses, and travel costs, offering a full spectrum of support for the recipients.

Aisha Miran, Director General of KHDA, highlighted the program's alignment with the leadership’s vision to enhance the competitiveness of young Emiratis in various future specialisations. This initiative is poised to contribute significantly to Dubai's global standing by nurturing future leaders equipped with world-class education.
Hamad Obaid Al Mansoori, Director-General of Digital Dubai, emphasized the program's role in supporting Dubai's sustainable progress through the development of national competencies. Digital Dubai's involvement ensures the provision of advanced infrastructure and digital solutions, facilitating seamless application processes and supporting the broader educational goals of the initiative.
Applications for the scholarship are open for the 2024-25 academic year from April 1-30, 2024. Eligibility is extended to Emirati students who have completed their high school education in the 2022-23 and 2023-24 academic years. Requirements include holding a family book from Dubai and not having received any other scholarship offers. Interested students can apply through the "Emirati" section on the Dubai Now app, offering an accessible and straightforward application process.
