Founded in 1911, it boasts 20 colleges and 90 undergraduate programs, offering a diverse range of academic disciplines. The university's alumni have been pivotal in contributing to China's cultural, economic, and technological advancements, and include many of the country's political leaders.

The founder and CEO of BlueFive Capital, Hazem Ben-Gacem stated,"By enabling exceptional Arab students to study at Tsinghua, China's pinnacle of academic excellence, we aim to develop leaders who will carry forward this agelong spirit of curiosity and collaboration, ensuring that the Arab-China relationship evolves as a beacon of cooperation in an increasingly fragmented world,".

This program aims not only to foster academic success among its scholars but also to build leaders who will enhance the bond between these two regions.

Professor Yang Bin, Vice Chancellor of Tsinghua University Council, expressed deep appreciation for Hazem Ben-Gacem's significant contribution. He noted Tsinghua's commitment to expanding its global influence through strategic initiatives, especially by strengthening ties with Arab League member states.

These efforts have notably enriched cultural exchanges between the two regions. He commended the program for embodying values of openness, inclusiveness, mutual respect, and the desire for collective advancement across cultural and national boundaries.

The Hazem Ben-Gacem Arab Scholars Program stands as a testament to the enduring spirit of cooperation and mutual respect between the Arab region and China.
