Brighton College Dubai Celebrates Historic Victory With First Team Gold At BSME Golf Championship

Brighton College Dubai recently achieved a monumental victory at the 8th British Schools of the Middle East (BSME) Golf Championship, marking the institution's first team gold in the history of sports competitions.

The event took place at Arabian Ranches Golf Club on 5th November, where the college's golf team showcased exceptional prowess and teamwork. This victory represents a significant milestone for the school, demonstrating its commitment to excellence in sports.

Brighton College Dubai Wins First Team Gold

The team that clinched the gold consisted of twelve skilled players: Riccardo Bianchi, Oliver Timlin, Ralif Nuretdinov, Samaira Choudry, Arthur Wilson, Wilf Clewlow, Thomas Wylie, Harry O'Brien, Isaac Epringham, Gianluca Vetere, George Wylie, and Jameel Choudry. Their performance was outstanding throughout the tournament, with several team members achieving notable individual successes.

George Wylie was crowned the Net Champion, while Samaira Choudry secured second place in net and third in gross competitions. Additionally, both Wilf Clewlow and Riccardo Bianchi achieved top-10 finishes in their respective gross categories, with Isaac Epringham and Thomas Wylie also landing in the top-10 for the net competition.

Ian Overton, a teacher of Physical Education at Brighton College Dubai, expressed immense pride in the team's achievement. "The spirit and togetherness of this team, their performance, and their attitude truly epitomise everything that Brighton College stands for." His commendation underscores the values of unity and dedication that the college aims to instill in its students, both in academics and extracurricular activities.
