BISJ Expands Post-16 Education Options With IB, A-Level, And BTEC Pathways

The British International School Jeddah (BISJ) has become the first school in Jeddah to offer three prominent post-16 qualifications: the International Baccalaureate (IB), A-Level, and BTEC. This significant expansion of BISJ's Sixth Form curriculum provides students with a wide array of choices for their future educational and career paths.

Meanwhile, BTEC offers vocational qualifications that combine coursework with practical experience, catering to students who prefer hands-on learning and wish to develop career-ready skills.

A-Level and BTEC pathways will be available starting from the 2026/27 academic year. "At BISJ, we believe every student should have the opportunity to pursue a route that fits their aspirations," said Helen Olds, Director of BISJ. "By offering IB, A Level, and BTEC, we are giving our students the flexibility and choice to thrive."

BISJ's Sixth Form experience is designed not only around academics but also around preparing students for life beyond school.
