American University Of Sharjah Announces Six New Degree Programmes

The American University of Sharjah (AUS) is embarking on an exciting phase of academic expansion, welcoming applications for its first batch of students into six pioneering degree programmes set to commence in Fall 2024. This significant development enhances AUS's educational offerings to 32 bachelor's degrees, 17 master's degrees, and five PhD programmes, marking a significant stride in its commitment to innovation and adaptability in higher education.

The College of Arts and Sciences broadens its PhD offerings with a programme in Mathematics, focusing on advanced education and research in mathematical innovation and its applications across complex challenges. Meanwhile, the College of Engineering introduces a Master of Science in Machine Learning, an essential field within artificial intelligence that is fundamental to innovative services and systems. The college also unveils three undergraduate programmes: a Bachelor of Science in Digital Construction Engineering and Management, which marries civil engineering problem-solving with construction management; a Bachelor of Science in Chemical and Biological Engineering, offering a contemporary and challenging programme backed by faculty research; and a Bachelor of Science in Intelligent Systems and Mechatronics Engineering, an interdisciplinary programme that combines electrical and mechanical engineering expertise.

These new academic offerings have received the endorsement of the AUS Board of Trustees and initial accreditation from the Commission for Academic Accreditation of the UAE Ministry of Education's Higher Education Affairs Division, ensuring they meet the rigorous standards expected of premier educational institutions.
