AI Skills in High Demand

Globally, individuals with AI expertise are highly sought after and command higher salaries. A PwC study indicates that workers with specialist AI skills earn up to a 25% wage premium on average. McKinsey Global Institute forecasts that by 2030, around 70% of companies will have adopted at least one type of AI technology.

The World Economic Forum predicts that AI will create approximately 97 million new jobs, potentially alleviating concerns about workforce displacement. PwC also reveals that job growth demanding AI specialist skills has outpaced overall job growth.

Comprehensive Curriculum

AURAK's program covers essential areas such as Machine Learning (ML), computer vision, robotics, and natural language processing. Students gain practical experience through internships, collaborative design projects, and research opportunities.

"AURAK was the first UAE university to launch a comprehensive bachelor program in AI," said Prof. Stephen Wilhite, Senior Vice President of Academic Affairs and Student Success and Provost at AURAK. "We have designed the program to prioritize practical skills through industry partnerships, hands-on lab work, and a curriculum that keeps up with the newest advancements in the field."

State-of-the-Art Facilities

AURAK provides advanced AI lab facilities equipped with cutting-edge hardware and software tools. These labs support both research and practical learning, allowing students to experiment with AI models and collaborate with industry partners.

"We launched the Bachelor of Science in AI to address the increasing demand for AI professionals," explained Dr. Khouloud Salameh, Associate Professor and Chairperson of AURAK's Computer Science and Engineering Department. "Our unique approach includes strong industry collaboration and a focus on real-world applications."

Diverse Career Opportunities

The program opens doors to various career paths such as AI Engineer, Data Scientist, ML Engineer, Robotics Engineer, NLP Engineer, Computer Vision Engineer, AI Product Manager, and AI Consultant. Additionally, AURAK offers a Minor in AI for Architecture and Engineering students to enhance their employability.

Grand View Research projects an annual growth rate of 37.3% for the AI sector between now and 2030. This rapid expansion underscores the importance of preparing students for future job markets dominated by AI technologies.

The initiative has received an overwhelming response from prospective students and their families. By combining their primary expertise with AI skills, students are better equipped to tackle complex challenges in their respective fields.
