Ajman University And Project Management Institute Partner To Foster Project Management Education

Ajman University (AU) and the Project Management Institute (PMI) have entered into a strategic partnership. This collaboration unites one of the UAE's top educational institutions with a global leader in project management. The aim is to foster innovation, professional growth, and adherence to international best practices throughout the region.

The agreement was formalised by Dr. Karim Seghir, Chancellor of Ajman University, and Hanny Alshazly, Managing Director for the Middle East and North Africa at PMI. Their goal is to enhance career readiness and institutional excellence in a world increasingly driven by digital projects.

Ajman University Partners with PMI for Education

Dr. Seghir emphasised that Ajman University prioritises academic excellence and lifelong learning as a non-profit educational institution. "This step aligns with our vision to establish strategic partnerships that support our future aspirations," he stated. The university aims to equip students with modern project management skills through advanced learning tools and internationally recognised methods.

The collaboration will see PMI supporting the launch of a customised digital platform for AU students, faculty, and staff. This platform will offer exclusive access to PMI’s extensive professional development resources, including globally recognised certifications and experiential learning opportunities.

The partnership also involves creating case studies together, sharing access to academic and professional tools, and participating in regional and international events jointly. These initiatives are designed to empower both institutions to deliver impactful educational experiences while developing agile, workforce-ready talent.

Hanny Alshazly remarked on the significance of this partnership: "This partnership reflects PMI’s continued commitment to nurturing future-ready talent and bridging the gap between academia and industry." By aligning PMI’s global standards with Ajman University's innovative academic approach, they aim to enable students and professionals to lead meaningful change across the region.

This agreement marks a significant step towards enhancing job market readiness for AU students. It aims to instil a culture of efficiency and excellence in an ever-evolving digital landscape.
