ADIHEX Hosts Abu Dhabi School Children For A Cultural Heritage Journey

The Abu Dhabi International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition (ADIHEX) has hosted schoolchildren from across Abu Dhabi for an educational visit. This initiative aims to foster a deeper understanding of Emirati heritage and traditions among the younger generation. ADIHEX organised a special guided tour featuring various engaging activities and workshops tailored for young minds.

Throughout the week, students will follow an exclusive itinerary designed to immerse them in Emirati culture, heritage, and sustainability practices. The visit includes interactive sessions, activities, and live demonstrations to provide a rich cultural experience.

ADIHEX s Cultural Journey for Kids

The tour starts in the Preservation of Environment & Cultural Heritage sector with an Arts & Crafts Workshop led by the Abu Dhabi Heritage Authority. Here, students engage in traditional Emirati crafts, offering a creative introduction to the UAE's cultural heritage.

Next, students attend an Educational Session by the Emirates Falconers' Club. They learn about falcon breeding and care, a practice deeply rooted in Emirati tradition. This is followed by the Mohamed Bin Zayed Hunting Experience — an interactive workshop focusing on sustainable hunting practices and falcon care tips.

The Zayed National Museum presents Falconry-Themed Activities where students participate in crafting activities like clay imprinting and falcon hood making. These activities aim to connect them with the heritage of falconry in the UAE.

In the Hunting & Camping Equipment sector, children join an Educational Session on the Al Ghaf Tree. This session highlights the cultural importance of the al ghaf tree and includes an interactive activity where students learn how to handle seedlings and sustainably grow these iconic trees.

The Emirates Arabian Horse Society hosts fun equestrian-themed games and activities in the Equestrian Zone sector. This is complemented by an Awareness Session with the General Command of Abu Dhabi Police, featuring their K9 unit to raise awareness of animal welfare and sustainability.

The Dhabian Equestrian Club offers students equestrian-themed arts and crafts activities. They also learn essential skills for horse grooming and care. The experience continues in the Arena with thrilling Live Demonstrations and Shows by skilled animal riders, trainers, and sports professionals.

The visit concludes at the Fayoonah Kids Zone with a range of exciting activities designed to educate and inspire. Students participate in science experiments, calligraphy workshops, Emirati cooking classes, and sustainable clothing design sessions.

ADIHEX remains committed to promoting awareness of the UAE's rich cultural heritage among young people. These educational activities aim to inspire students to appreciate diverse cultural traditions while fostering a deeper understanding of sustainable practices.
