Abu Dhabi's Industrialists' Career Exhibition Set For April 2024, Aiming To Boost Job Opportunities

The Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology (MoIAT) and Adnoc are gearing up for the second edition of the Industrialists' Career Exhibition, scheduled for April 22-23, 2024, at the Abu Dhabi Energy Centre. This event is a collaborative effort with the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MoHRE) and the Emirati Talent Competitiveness Council (Nafis), aiming to surpass the achievements of its inaugural edition in 2023. The previous event drew significant attention, with participation from over 73 companies, creating 505 job opportunities for Emirati talent alongside numerous training opportunities through the ministry's partner training centres.

Omar Al Suwaidi, Under-Secretary of MoIAT, highlighted the exhibition's role as a comprehensive platform that unites government partners, the private sector, training entities, and job seekers. With the success of the first edition, the upcoming event aims to offer over 600 new job opportunities and unique training prospects. Al Suwaidi commended the private sector's engagement and their commitment to supporting Emirati talent in the industrial sector. He emphasized the ministry's dedication to enhancing the technical skills and capabilities of Emiratis to meet the industry and advanced technology sectors' demands.

Al Suwaidi also encouraged UAE companies to participate in the exhibition to contribute to the industry's competitiveness and sustainable economic growth by enabling Emirati talent to join the industrial private sector. In preparation for the fair, MoIAT will conduct information sessions from mid-March to early April on career and training opportunities available at the upcoming event.

In March 2023, MoIAT launched the Industrialists Programme under the National In-Country Value (ICV) Programme. This initiative aims to support the national industrial sector's growth by upskilling Emirati talent, providing them with job opportunities in the sector, and enhancing ICV companies' access to incentives and enablers.

The Industrialists' Career Exhibition stands as a testament to MoIAT's commitment to fostering a competitive UAE industrial sector by investing in local talent. Through initiatives like these, MoIAT aims not only to bolster employment but also to ensure that Emirati professionals are well-equipped with the necessary skills to excel in an evolving market landscape.
