SEDD And FTA Collaborate To Enhance Tax Compliance And E-Linking For Businesses
Hamad Ali Abdalla Al Mahmoud, Chairman of the Sharjah Economic Development Department (SEDD), hosted a delegation from the Federal Tax Authority (FTA) led by Khalid Ali Al Bustani, Director-General of FTA. The gathering aimed to strengthen cooperation to support the business sector, investors, and customers in achieving sustainable economic development across various sectors in the UAE.
The meeting focused on raising awareness about tax compliance among registered business owners licensed in Sharjah. Discussions highlighted methods to improve compliance by submitting tax returns according to the country's tax laws and regulations. This initiative aims to foster a culture of compliance within the business community.

Hamad Ali Abdulla Al Mahmoud emphasised the strategic partnership with the Federal Tax Authority, commending its efforts to enhance the tax system nationwide. He stated that SEDD is committed to collaborating with partners to provide services aligned with international best practices, supporting various economic sectors and enhancing integration in operations.
The meeting also addressed developments in an electronic linkage project between SEDD and FTA.
