UAE Kuwait Media Celebration Strengthens Bilateral Media Ties
The UAE media delegation ended its visit to Kuwait with the UAE–Kuwait Media Celebration, which highlighted expanding cooperation, a new production agreement, youth-focused dialogue, and cultural programming, under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and directives of His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
A key outcome of the visit was a Memorandum of Understanding between Dubai Media Incorporated and the Ministry of Information – Kuwait Television. The agreement aims to enhance joint media production, exchange knowledge, and support the creation of high-quality content for audiences in both countries and the wider Arab region.

The UAE–Kuwait Media Celebration, organised by the Dubai Press Club, formed the main public highlight of the visit and drew senior figures from both nations. The event underlined strong bilateral relations, as attendees discussed ways to deepen institutional media links and sustain coordination between Emirati and Kuwaiti outlets.
Dr. Ahmed Abdulwahab Al Awadhi, Kuwait’s Minister of Health and Acting Minister of Information and Culture, attended the celebration alongside leading media professionals. Dr. Ahmed Abdulwahab Al Awadhi stated that ties between the media sectors of Kuwait and the UAE present a strong model of Arab cooperation, built on longstanding professional coordination and integration.
The programme included a panel discussion titled ‘Media and the Voice of Youth: The UAE and Kuwait’, organised by the Dubai Media Incorporated Dubai Media Youth Council with the Kuwait Ministry of Information Youth Council. Participants examined how young professionals can shape content, strengthen their role in production, and build influence across digital media platforms.
During the visit, the UAE delegation held meetings at several Kuwaiti media institutions, including the Ministry of Information of Kuwait. These visits allowed leaders and specialists to review organisational structures, discuss content strategies, and explore practical ways to support future joint projects in television, digital platforms, and news services.
Mona Ghanem AlMarri, Vice Chairperson and Managing Director of the Dubai Media Council and President of the Dubai Press Club, noted that Kuwaiti media plays a central role in the Gulf and Arab landscape. Mona Ghanem AlMarri highlighted that cooperation between Emirati and Kuwaiti media professionals has deep roots and continues within an established framework of partnership.
Maryam Al Mulla, Director of the Dubai Press Club, said that hosting the UAE–Kuwait Media Celebration reflects the Club’s commitment to dialogue with Kuwaiti partners. Maryam Al Mulla pointed out that Kuwaiti journalists and media experts have long engaged in the Club’s flagship initiatives, including the Arab Media Summit and the Arab Media Awards, launched 25 years ago.
