International Government Communication Forum To Address Quality Of Life Challenges On September 10-11

The Sharjah Government Media Bureau (SGMB) is set to host the 14th International Government Communication Forum (IGCF) on 10th-11th September at Expo Centre Sharjah. This event, under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, aims to explore the future of government communication and its role in tackling global challenges.

The forum will delve into five core areas: food security, education, public health, environmental transformation, and the green economy. These pillars are seen as crucial for improving quality of life globally. The event will gather leaders, experts, and officials from various countries to discuss these topics.

IGCF Focuses on Quality of Life Issues

Tariq Saeed Allay, Director-General of SGMB, stressed the importance of selecting topics that focus on people-centric communication policies. He stated that "quality of life is a collective responsibility that demands smart, effective communication tools to raise awareness and support decision-making." The forum aims to foster discussions leading to practical programmes for inclusive development.

Allay highlighted the diversity of expertise present at the forum, which enriches dialogue and adds both human and professional dimensions. This diversity allows for a comprehensive exchange of ideas and proposals aimed at achieving equitable development goals through effective communication strategies.

The upcoming edition will examine how government communication can drive positive change by promoting sustainable food practices and innovation in agriculture. It will also focus on supporting communities facing environmental and social crises through enhanced awareness.

Education's impact as a long-term communication tool will be explored. The forum will discuss how education equips future generations with skills to address challenges related to food security, health, and environment effectively.

Media Influence and Green Economy

IGCF 2025 will highlight how media and government messages influence individual behaviours. It aims to motivate people and institutions towards more conscious lifestyles by shaping responsible actions through strategic communication.

The forum will also explore opportunities within the green economy for job creation and promoting environmental justice. Discussions will include how communication can build partnerships that enhance trust between governments and societies.

This year's IGCF promises to be a significant platform for exchanging insights on improving quality of life through strategic government communication efforts worldwide.
