UAE Cyber Security Council Introduces Ethical Hacker Training Course

In a significant move to bolster the nation's cyber defense capabilities, the Cyber Security Council has recently unveiled the "Ethical Hacker" specialised training course. This initiative falls under the broader "Cyber Sniper" program, a collaborative effort launched last year with the Federal for Government Human Resources, aimed at fortifying the UAE's digital infrastructure against potential cyber threats.

The Cyber Sniper initiative stands as a vital component of the council's overarching strategy to not only secure the digital landscape but also to foster a secure digital transformation across government entities. This is in line with increasing their readiness to tackle new and emerging cyber challenges while enhancing their ability to defend against them.

Ethical Hacker Course Launched

The Ethical Hacker course is meticulously designed to equip participants with a comprehensive understanding of cyber-attack methodologies and techniques. Its core objective is to enable them to identify and test for vulnerabilities—security gaps—in information systems and networks before they can be exploited by malicious entities. Furthermore, the course aims to provide advanced training in penetration testing tools and programs, alongside imparting best practices for safeguarding information systems and networks.

Dr. Mohamed Hamad Al Kuwaiti, Chairman of the UAE Cyber Security Council, highlighted the significance of the Cyber Sniper initiative, describing it as a testament to the nation's steadfast commitment to achieving global leadership in cyber security. "This initiative contributes to building a strong national workforce in the field of cyber security, capable of protecting the nation's critical infrastructure and effectively countering evolving cyber threats," Dr. Al Kuwaiti stated.

He further underscored the initiative's role in the broader context of the UAE's efforts to foster a robust cyber security culture, marking a crucial step towards ensuring a secure digital future for the country.

Collaboration with Leading International Partners

The Ethical Hacker training is conducted in partnership with globally renowned cyber security organizations such as SANS, EC-Council, and Offsec. This collaborative approach ensures that participants receive top-tier education and training, equipping them with the skills necessary to navigate the complex landscape of cyber security threats and defense mechanisms.

By launching the Ethical Hacker course under the Cyber Sniper initiative, the UAE Cyber Security Council is making significant strides towards enhancing the nation's cyber defense capabilities. This effort not only prepares a skilled workforce to protect critical infrastructure but also plays a pivotal role in the country’s journey towards a safer digital environment for all.
