TikTok Partners With Esports World Cup For Riyadh Tournament

TikTok has been announced as the official entertainment partner for the Esports World Cup, which will take place in Riyadh from July 3 to August 25. The partnership agreement between the ByteDance-owned short-form video platform and the Esports World Cup Foundation (EWCF) was signed on Monday. Mohammed Alnimer, sales director of the EWCF, stated that this collaboration aims to redefine esports content and entertainment for a wider audience.

As part of this partnership, TikTok will introduce an Esports World Cup Hub within its app, featuring content from official broadcasters, teams, and players. The EWCF will also create exclusive content tailored for TikTok and encourage collaborations with popular creators. Furthermore, a weekly show with reports and news from the competition will be produced by both partners.

Mohamed Harb, head of partnerships at TikTok MENA, said that promoting a shared appreciation for esports and connecting fans and players across different cultures and regions is a top priority for TikTok. The platform aims to shape the future of gaming content and fan engagement.

The Esports World Cup is set to be the largest event of its kind, with a roster of partners from various sectors such as sportswear and beverages. In addition to gaming activations, community tournaments, and pop culture celebrations, the event boasts an unprecedented prize pool of $60 million.
