TikTok Launches Change Makers Program To Support MENA Region's Social Impact Creators

TikTok has launched its first-ever global social impact creator elevation program called the TikTok Change Makers Program. This program aims to highlight creators and non-profit organizations that are creating meaningful change in their communities through TikTok. Over the next six months, TikTok will support these creators by providing them with tools, resources, and donations to drive a greater impact in their respective causes.

To kick off this program, TikTok has unveiled its inaugural global list of TikTok Change Makers, featuring 50 purpose-driven creators from around the world. These Change Makers use TikTok to spread positivity, share good deeds, and advocate for important issues. The MENA region is represented by several individuals, including Abdullah Al-Alawi, a dentist who shares valuable health knowledge in a light-hearted manner, and Dr. Jana Bou Reslan, an experienced university lecturer who focuses on coaching and spreading awareness on crucial topics in society.

TikTok s New Program Boosts MENA Creators

Another Change Maker from the MENA region is Abdullah Annan, also known as "The Arab Science Guy" on TikTok. Abdullah creates videos that simplify complex scientific scenarios, making them easy to understand for viewers. He even went skydiving to explore the science of flight, showcasing his commitment to educating his audience.

Mai Gamal, a certified nutritionist and health coach, is also part of the TikTok Change Makers. Mai encourages individuals to adopt a balanced approach to nutrition and promotes a sustainable lifestyle free from strict dieting. Her guidance on TikTok simplifies dietary choices and promotes a flexible attitude towards health and wellness.

In addition to spotlighting creators, TikTok is also championing causes by partnering with non-profit organizations. The platform aims to rally support, raise awareness, and fund important causes. Under the hashtag #TikTokforGood, the community has already posted over 50,000 videos showcasing the impact of their collective efforts.As part of the TikTok Change Makers program, TikTok is introducing the TikTok Change Makers Grant. The platform will donate over $1 million to more than 30 global and local non-profit organizations, with a $25,000 direct donation in honor of every Change Maker. This grant aims to support the advocacies of the Change Makers and amplify the impact of their work.
