Olympics' Global Fans Can Now Connect Via New Digital Platform Launched By Samsung, IOC

Samsung Electronics, in collaboration with the International Olympic Committee (IOC), launched a new digital community called "Together for Tomorrow, Enabling People" on July 31 in Paris. This initiative aims to engage Olympic and Paralympic Games fans globally.

The event took place at SPOT24, an exhibition space dedicated to Paris 2024. Key attendees included IOC President Thomas Bach, IPC President Andrew Parsons, and Samsung's YH Lee. Luc Abalo, a former French handball player and visual artist, also participated.

Several prominent figures will serve as global ambassadors for this project. These include Yeon Koung Kim, a former Team Korea volleyball player, and Andy Macdonald, a Team GB skateboarder. Australian Para-athlete Madison de Rozario and UK content creator Matt Green will also contribute by sharing content on social media.

The "Together for Tomorrow, Enabling People" project aims to help fans experience the Olympic Movement. It focuses on younger generations and encourages them to "solve, move and create" in line with Olympic values.

The initiative introduces three key challenges: Solve Challenge, Move Challenge, and Create Challenge. Solve Challenge integrates sport with Samsung's Solve for Tomorrow program to address social issues using innovative solutions. Move Challenge encourages global fans to walk more using Samsung's smart devices. Create Challenge fosters creativity through a digital artists' community using Samsung's technology.

During the launch event, 10 teams from Samsung's Solve for Tomorrow program were named ambassadors for "Together for Tomorrow, Enabling People." These teams will showcase their solutions during the Paris 2024 Games and collaborate with IOC Young Leaders on sustainable development initiatives.

Ambassadors presented various projects aimed at solving real-world problems during the event. Solutions ranged from aiding those with visual disabilities to enhancing worker safety.

"Samsung Solve for Tomorrow empowers high school students with the courage to change the world," said Ngan Huu Kim Le of the U.S. team that developed an insect-based environmental cleanup solution. "It's an honor to present our solution at Paris 2024 alongside prominent athletes."

"I am impressed by the opportunities that Samsung Solve for Tomorrow has given to young people," said IOC President Thomas Bach. "They will be our innovators of tomorrow. We're pleased to work with Samsung to support talented youth at the intersection of sport and technology."

"This project is a wonderful outcome from our long-standing collaboration with the IOC," said YH Lee of Samsung Electronics. "We will continue to support young people in taking on meaningful challenges toward a brighter future."
