Northern Data Group Rolls Out AI Accelerator To Foster Startup Innovation
Northern Data Group, a prominent provider of High-Performance Computing (HPC) solutions, unveiled its first AI Accelerator today. The initiative aims to expedite AI innovation, assisting startups in rapidly developing or scaling their AI concepts into tangible proof of concepts. This groundbreaking effort underlines Northern Data Group's commitment to fostering innovation in the AI sector, offering selected startups complimentary access to advanced technology resources and mentorship opportunities.
Startups chosen for the program will gain free access to NVIDIA HGX H100 GPU servers linked with NVIDIA Quantum-2 InfiniBand networking. This setup enables the use of advanced AI solutions that include sophisticated fine-tuning, quantization, and retrieval-augmented generation techniques. Notably, all these technologies are powered by 100% carbon-free energy and supported by Northern Data Group's expert engineers.
The accelerator also provides mentoring sessions led by Northern Data Group's leadership and industry leaders from HPE and Supermicro. Participants will benefit from dedicated access to NVIDIA's Deep Learning Institute program and sessions on Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) in AI from Deloitte, alongside workshops from a leading investment bank on navigating the investor landscape.
Northern Data Group operates Taiga Cloud, Europe's largest and most environmentally friendly GenAI Cloud Service Provider. The company was among the first in Europe to deploy NVIDIA H100 Tensor Core GPUs. Through the AI Accelerator, Northern Data Group is leveraging its HPC solutions to ensure innovation is accessible to all, irrespective of an organization's size or market power.
The company is inviting applications from innovative AI and machine learning-focused companies aiming to accelerate their AI proof of concept or scale up a product. The initiative is open to all sectors, with a review panel eager to advance concepts with quick scalability and significant impact potential on the AI industry.
