The partnership involves an initial investment of $1 billion by G42 and Microsoft, focusing on several key areas. Among the highlights is the construction of a state-of-the-art green data center by G42 and its partners, which will host Microsoft Azure for a new East Africa Cloud Region. This collaboration was formalized through a letter of intent, set to be signed during Kenyan President William Ruto's state visit to the United States. G42, in partnership with local entities, will undertake the construction of a data center in Olkaria, Kenya.
