iPhone 16 Series Promises Major Design Changes And Updates

Apple's next-generation iPhones, expected to be called the iPhone 16 series, are generating a lot of buzz following the WWDC 2024 event. Set to launch in September, these new iPhones are anticipated to bring major design changes. The lineup will consist of four models, two in the baseline and two in the Pro line. One of the most significant design changes is expected to be on the rear camera module.

Instead of the current squared-off bump with diagonally aligned dual cameras, the iPhone 16 will feature vertically aligned dual cameras on a pill-shaped rear bump, reminiscent of the iPhone X. The rear flash will also likely be moved to the side of the bump.

Additionally, the iPhone 16 and 16 Plus models are rumored to include the "Action Button" that debuted on the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max models. This customizable button will replace the mute switch and offer more functionality with options for additional actions.

Another notable change is the addition of a dedicated camera button, possibly called the "Capture Button." This haptic button will allow users to perform camera actions with customizable gestures, such as a single tap to focus or a double tap to take a picture.

Furthermore, the base variants of the iPhone 16 series are expected to have the ability to capture spatial photos and videos that can be viewed on Apple's Vision Pro mixed-reality headset.
