Informatica Debuts Saudi Arabia's First AI Data Management Cloud Platform

Informatica, a leading enterprise in cloud data management, has recently made strides in expanding its technological footprint within Saudi Arabia by introducing its AI-powered Intelligent Data Management Cloud™ (IDMC). This strategic move includes the establishment of a new Point of Delivery (PoD) in Riyadh, marking a significant investment in the Kingdom's cloud-first data management services. This follows the successful launch of Informatica's initial regional PoD in Abu Dhabi, UAE, earlier in 2023.

This new development aligns with Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030, which aims to digitally empower all economic sectors. The introduction of the new PoD is a step forward in transitioning government organisations to secure, cloud-based solutions, in line with the leadership's cloud-first policy.

According to forecasts from the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, the cloud computing sector in Saudi Arabia is on the brink of substantial growth. It is expected to double in size in the next three years, contributing an additional $13.3 billion to the national GDP. This expansion is anticipated to propel Riyadh into becoming a data-driven city, fostering economic and digital progression throughout the Kingdom.

Informatica's regional PoD in Riyadh aims to enhance support for local partners and organisations by providing a cloud data management platform that adheres to local regulations. Jitesh Ghai, Chief Product Officer at Informatica, expressed enthusiasm about the project: "Saudi Arabia is fast making headway on its journey to become a technology hub for the Middle East and is creating a solid cloud foundation to realise its Vision 2030 ambitions.
