Dubai Future Foundation And Meta Introduce Llama Design Drive To Boost AI Startups In MENA Region

Meta and Dubai Future Foundation have introduced the Llama Design Drive, an AI Accelerator powered by Startupbootcamp. This initiative targets both corporates and startups in the Middle East and North Africa. The programme's first cohort includes 22 startups and eight AI professionals focused on addressing major industry challenges related to artificial intelligence.

Participants gain access to complex business problems these companies face, allowing them to develop and pitch AI-driven solutions with significant commercial and social impact using Meta’s open-source models.

Startups chosen for this programme will collaborate closely with Meta’s engineering teams. They may also be fast-tracked into a global programme sponsored by Meta, potentially receiving up to $500,000 in funding to support their AI product development. This initiative focuses not only on innovation but also on creating tangible impact and enhancing the UAE’s standing as a leader in AI.
