Amazon Launches Revolutionary Kindle Lineup: Fastest Paperwhite And Trendy Matcha Colour For Readers
Amazon has unveiled its latest innovation in the world of e-readers in the MENA region, introducing not only the quickest Kindle Paperwhite to date but also a new base model Kindle available in an eye-catching Matcha color.
This announcement comes at a time when the popularity of Kindle devices is soaring, with global sales reaching a peak not seen in the last ten years, largely driven by first-time buyers of Kindle devices.

According to Eric Saarnio, Amazon's vice president of Amazon Devices International, the surge in customer interest has been a driving force behind the launch of these new devices. Saarnio emphasized the meticulous attention to detail that went into creating these Kindles, aiming to enhance the reading experience for users.
The Kindle Paperwhite, known for its popularity since its 2012 debut, has been revamped to be the quickest model yet, offering a 25% increase in page-turn speed. This enhancement is attributed to the oxide thin-film transistor technology used in its display, which also delivers the highest contrast ratio seen in a Kindle Paperwhite to date, making texts and images exceptionally clear.

Additionally, this model boasts a first for the Paperwhite series: a 7-inch display, combining a larger screen size with a design that is both the thinnest and capable of up to three months of battery life. The Kindle Paperwhite comes equipped with 16 GB of storage, sufficient for thousands of books, and is available in Black. The Signature Edition, offering 32 GB of storage, the convenience of optional wireless charging, and an auto-adjusting front light, is presented in Metallic Black.
Expanding the Kindle family, Amazon introduces a new entry-level Kindle that merges compactness with high-end features. Weighing just 158g, this device is designed for ultimate portability and ease of use, fitting comfortably in one's hand or back pocket.
Despite its size, it doesn't skimp on quality, sporting a 300 ppi, glare-free display that matches the Kindle Paperwhite in brightness and offers enhanced contrast and quicker page turns. The new Kindle is presented in a vibrant Matcha color, promising weeks of battery life on a single charge and 16 GB of storage for a vast library of books. This model is tailored for readers seeking a lightweight, yet feature-rich e-reader for use on the go.
In terms of sustainability, Amazon is committed to environmentally friendly practices with its new Kindle lineup. The packaging for these devices is made from materials that are 99% wood fiber-based, sourced from responsibly managed forests or recycled sources.
For those eager to get their hands on the latest Kindle technology, the base model Kindle is already available for purchase at SAR 499. Meanwhile, the Kindle Paperwhite and the Kindle Paperwhite Signature Edition will be hitting the shelves in the UAE later this month, priced at AED 712.67 and AED 800, respectively.
