The Department of Municipalities and Transport - Abu Dhabi (DMT) has recently unveiled two Artificial Intelligence (AI) solutions aimed at enhancing the efficiency of the building permit process in the emirate. These innovative solutions, the AI-Enabled Building Information Modelling (BIM) and Automated Plan Review System (APRS), along with the AI Building Permits Virtual Assistant Chatbot, are set to revolutionize the construction landscape in Abu Dhabi.
Revolutionizing Construction with AI
The AI-enabled BIM/APRS platform integrates AI with BIM technology to streamline the submission, review, and approval of building permits. Its capabilities include automated code compliance checks and the conversion of 2D CAD drawings into detailed 3D models for comprehensive project reviews. Additionally, the platform is equipped with integrated AI chatbot support to provide instant access to building codes and regulations, thereby ensuring projects adhere to Abu Dhabi's building standards.
