ZHO's Document Project Highlights Contributions Of People Of Determination In Preserving Emirati History

The Zayed Higher Organisation for People of Determination (ZHO) has introduced the "Document" project. This initiative, in partnership with TRENDS Research and Advisory, aims to narrate the UAE's history through the voices of People of Determination. It is part of the "Talented Determination" initiative, which supports their diverse talents in acting, media, painting, singing, and music.

The "Document" project enhances the role of People of Determination in media and national documentation. It highlights significant historical events and notable Emirati figures who have contributed to shaping the nation's identity. The project includes a podcast series with 25 short episodes, each lasting five to eight minutes.

Participants in this podcast series represent various challenges faced by People of Determination. They discuss topics such as founding leaders, cultural heritage, literature development, traditional crafts, and landmarks like Qasr Al Hosn and Al Jahili Fort. These episodes aim to educate listeners on Emirati history and culture.

The project also focuses on ancient cultural practices and the role of women in preserving heritage. It explores social traditions like marriage and celebrations while emphasising passing these values to younger generations. By doing so, it seeks to instil national pride among youth.

Through engaging storytelling, the "Document" project empowers People of Determination as broadcasters and contributors to preserving national heritage. It raises awareness about the importance of maintaining Emirati heritage and deepens national pride among younger generations.

Training for Professional Presentation

Podcast participants received intensive training in presentation skills and media techniques. This ensures that each episode is both professional and creative. Additionally, digital seminars and audience discussions are included to encourage community interaction around the episodes.

The flexible nature of the project allows for discussions on economic and social development. It covers events that united the Emirati community and stories of influential figures in the nation's growth. This adaptability ensures a comprehensive exploration of UAE's rich history.
