Zayed Higher Organisation Achieves Significant Milestones For People Of Determination In 2024

Zayed Higher Organisation (ZHO) made notable progress in 2024, focusing on the care and rehabilitation of People of Determination. Operating under the theme "Together Towards Excellence and Empowerment," ZHO supported over 25,000 individuals, including 1,870 students across its 19 centres in the emirate. These initiatives align with the UAE's commitment to prioritising the welfare and rights of People of Determination.

In a significant achievement, ZHO provided employment for 80 People of Determination through collaborations with various public and private sector partners. During the Global Rehabilitation Conference 2024, 24 organisations were recognised for their support in employing People of Determination. Additionally, ZHO empowered 200 members through productive projects and enrolled 400 students with intellectual disabilities and autism in a Level 2 Work Readiness Certification Programme.

ZHO collaborated with Ural Federal University in Russia to launch the Emirati Russian Psychology Dictionary. A digital platform was developed with the Emirates Research and Studies Centre to convert this dictionary into a digital format, ensuring its storage in accredited databases. The initiative aims to register the dictionary with international publishing entities like UNESCO while ensuring compatibility with AI tools such as ChatGPT.

The organisation also launched an interactive showroom at its Innovation Centre in Al Bahia, Abu Dhabi, in partnership with Topland Company. This showroom is the first of its kind in the Middle East. Furthermore, ZHO secured first place for delivering outstanding customer services through the Abu Dhabi Government Contact Centre.

ZHO hosted several significant events, including the Global Rehabilitation Conference 2024 under the theme "Work and Employment." This conference concluded with adopting the "Abu Dhabi Declaration for People of Determination." Additionally, ZHO organised the 12th International Autism Research Conference titled "Challenges and Solutions," collaborating with ADNOC, Abu Dhabi Health Services Company (SEHA), and Lotus Holistic Group Abu Dhabi.

The organisation also hosted the 34th European Arab Medical Congress at its headquarters for the first time. This event was organised alongside partners such as Emirates Research and Studies Centre under Emirates Foundation for Science and Research. The congress concluded with Abu Dhabi being announced as host for its 2025 and 2026 editions.

Sports Achievements and Future Plans

ZHO's athletes participated in various sports events, including representing their sports clubs from Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, and Al Dhafra at the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games. They achieved remarkable success at these games. Moreover, Abdullah Al Humaidan received the flag for organising and hosting the World Federation of the Deaf's 20th International Conference in Abu Dhabi in 2027.

ZHO actively engaged in local and international events like Dubai's International Expo for People of Determination 2024. It also hosted a meeting on disability cooperation between China and Arab countries during the Global Rehabilitation Conference 2024.

Healthcare Initiatives

In collaboration with ADNOC, ZHO launched assessment and diagnostic services at Al Dhanna Hospital in Al Dhanna City within Al Dhafra region. Seven specialists were trained on ZHO's policies, mechanisms, and diagnostic methods as part of this initiative.

The organisation inaugurated a new centre specialised in assessing injured Palestinians at its headquarters through collaboration with Emirates Humanitarian City. This centre offers comprehensive care services to those affected.

Training Programmes

ZHO introduced several training programmes aimed at empowering People of Determination across different regions. In collaboration with Egypt's Ministry of Youth and Sports under ADQ Holding's sponsorship, it launched a new phase of "Bridges of Hope Holding" programme to support individuals across Egypt's governorates.

The "MARS Programme" was also introduced to train healthcare graduates within Abu Dhabi. Notably, ZHO achieved full Emiratisation of executive roles within its workforce.

Through effective use of social media platforms, ZHO successfully communicated its mission to millions globally. These efforts have significantly contributed to raising awareness about their initiatives among diverse audiences worldwide.
