Zayed Humanitarian Foundation Launches Three Sustainable Rehabilitation Projects In Kazakhstan
The Zayed Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation (ZayedCHF) has unveiled three sustainable projects in Kazakhstan. These initiatives focus on rehabilitating people of determination and enhancing the sports and social sectors. This effort is part of the Zayed Humanitarian Legacy, which honours the giving spirit of Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan.
During a visit to Astana, a delegation from ZayedCHF, alongside Astana's Deputy Mayor, initiated the construction of a rehabilitation centre for children with special needs. Spanning 2.18 hectares, this centre is expected to be completed in 24 months. The project aligns with the UAE's commitment to global development and cooperation under its wise leadership.

ZayedCHF plans to sign an MoU with Kazakh officials for two more projects: a multi-purpose sports field and a children's park in Akbastau, Turkistan Province, along with another similar project in Birlik village. These initiatives aim to address humanitarian needs across society, focusing on people of determination, youth, and children.
The children's rehabilitation centre will cater to children of determination and those at risk of disabilities. It aims to provide essential services that empower these children to integrate into their communities effectively. The centre will support their engagement in society by offering necessary facilities and services.
The planned sports fields will each cover 750 square meters. These versatile spaces are designed for various sporting activities accessible to children and youth. They will also serve as venues for hosting events, promoting physical activity among young people.
Additionally, the Foundation will establish children's parks covering 400 square meters each. These parks will be equipped with furnishings and equipment aimed at developing children's physical, mental, and social skills.
Commitment to Sustainable Development
Dr. Mohammed Ateeq Al Falahi, Director General of ZayedCHF, highlighted the significance of these projects. He noted that they reflect Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan's vision for global community development and a better future for all—especially people of determination, children, youth, and families.
Dr. Al Falahi further explained that under the guidance of the Zayed Humanitarian Legacy, the Foundation continues its vital role in serving humanity across key sectors. Their efforts are directed towards achieving sustainable development worldwide.
A Gesture of Friendship
During the foundation stone-laying ceremony for the rehabilitation centre, Astana's Deputy Mayor expressed gratitude towards President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan's leadership. He described this initiative as more than just a humanitarian project; it embodies compassion, humanity, and genuine friendship.
The Deputy Mayor emphasised that this initiative represents goodwill aligned with noble humanitarian values. He remarked that laying the foundation stone marks an important step toward a hopeful future—bringing warmth to hearts and hope to every child involved.
